ADVANCEMENTS IN COMMUNICATION

Two day workshop on “Advancements in Communication” was organised by the department of ECE, Vaageswari College of Engineering, Karimnagar. Guest lecture was delivered by Mr. RAJU senior engineer from BSNL department, explained about the evolution of mobile communication and differences in Generation of mobile technologies (1G to 5G).

The speaker described the importance of electronic communication, how telecommunication drastically expanded in 1G, 2G, 3G, 4G &5G mobile technologies and how the communication had developed from 1G to 5G with different techniques like circuit switching, packet switching, modulation techniques, multiplexing, CDMA, TDMA and differences between these technologies.

He demonstrated how the device size is minimized and how device speed is increased in real time applications. He also answered to the queries asked by students in mobile communications with various real time examples.

Mr. D. Sampath Kumar, Head of the Department and Convener said that students need to get updated in their technical skills with the present technology by utilizing these kinds of workshops; he also said that 200 students participated in the workshop and made it successful. He also said that without the cooperation of Department Faculty it would not be successful and conveyed thanks to Principal and the Management for their support.

Principal Dr. Ch.SRINIVAS, motivated students to utilize workshops organized by the department, and grab the opportunities to get the jobs in communication field.

General Secretary Dr.G.SREENIVAS REDDY, Joint Secretary D.SRINIVAS REDDY, conveyed that management is always ready to support for the department to organize these kinds of workshops, Guest lecturers.

EMBEDDED C PROGRAMMING

Department of ECE, Vaageswari College of Engineering, Karimnagar conducted one day workshop on “Embedded C Programming” in collaboration with I3indya technologies. The motive of the workshop is to guide the students in learning about the micro controllers available in the real world and the way they are utilized in different applications. In this workshop different Micro controller architectures with the interfacing devices and basic Embedded C Programming techniques are explained.

150 students participated in the workshop and had Hands On Experience on AVR micro controller port configuration, interfacing with different sensors, input and output devices for few applications. The session was handled by speaker Mr. Fazal Mehafuz, an embedded developer of I3Indya Technologies.

The workshop convener Dr.K.Keerti Kumar conveyed thanks to General Secretary Dr.G.Sreenivas Reddy, Principal Dr. Ch.Srinivas, and faculty for cooperation.
